ALEXANDRITE – THE JUNE BIRTHSTONE
Alexandrite is a very rare variety of chrysoberyl that exhibits the color change phenomenon known as arborescence. The color change is caused by the chrysoberyl being cut in a certain way to show a yellow-green color when illuminated by white light and red color in natural light.
